Music Instruction at All Things Rock

Overview

All Things Rock is a Music Instruction school that specializes in a variety of instruments, including guitar, piano, bass, drums and more. Each of our teachers has years of formal training and a passion for music which we will share with you or your child. While we are all well versed in classical music and music theory, we do our best to keep lessons fun and to teach our students what the student wants to learn. We are rigorous in our teaching methods, but we are not rigid. It is vitally important to us that our pupils have fun with music, and think of playing music as a joy instead of a chore.

So what's with the name?

Our company name refers both to the fact that we instruct primarily those instruments you would find in a rock ensemble, and to the fact that we think Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and Mozart "rock." As do Louis Armstrong, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis and Leadbelly. Our teachers all have a breadth of knowledge formed by years of formal training and, even more importantly, professional playing experience. If you require a structured method around which to learn broadway songs, classical pieces, or the entire Beatles catalog, ours is the studio for you. If your child wants to learn Green Day or Blink-182 but you also want him or her to learn how to read and write music, then we are what you are looking for.
